Hi, I can't answer your question directly (I don't know), but since you don't say where you're from you may need to know that in the USA you generally can't just pull over and camp where ever you please. Most of the property there is privately owned and you need the owners permission to camp (not easy as you won't know who the owner is). Even on government land it is generally illegal to camp anywhere except designated camping areas. See what you can find on Google, or see what someone else here says, but I'd advise against just pitching a tent in some random spot in Texas or you're likely to wake up with a shotgun stuck up your nose?
